TIM RONEY: A LONDON BASED PHOTOGRAPHER WITH OVER 25 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY.

I have worked for a wide ranging number of publications, television and production companies, record and P.R. companies, photographing amongst others musicians, actors, writers, directors, & politicians.

I have travelled to many parts of the world during my career and have had wide experience in dealing with the most demanding of situations, subjects and clients! I have a huge library of photographs some of which can be seen here on my website.

I enjoy all forms of creative work. Photography is not only my profession it is my hobby and my passion!

Biography

I moved to London over 25 years ago and started working as a contract photographer for the Radio Times, a post I held for 10yrs, photographing a wide and extensive range of subjects including many Actors, Actresses, Comedians, Writers, Singers, Bands and Politicians both on location and in the studio. This gave me a great deal of experience working sometimes very quickly and under pressure.

I then went on to work for Channel 4 and many different production companies including Hat Trickand Celador. I also moved into the area of music, working for many different record companies including Sony Music and Sony International. I also regularly carried out commissions for many music magazines including Smash Hits and Top of The Pops including, for 4 years every Saturday morning, CD.UK. Over the course of my career I have worked for many other publications including The Economist, The Sunday Telegraph and women’s magazines such as Woman, & Company.

Other clients include EMAP, Bauer, BBC Publications, Haymarket, IPC media, Attic media & NatMags. My career has led me to photograph a diverse range of subjects from Margaret Thatcher & Cardinal Basil Hume to French and Saunders & Pamela Anderson taking in Janet Jackson and REM along the way– figures from the Political to the Pop stage!

I enjoy photographing people from all walks of life and welcome new challenges.
